Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in New Delhi
Catch a domestic flight to Jodhpur.
Upon arrival in Jodhpur, enjoy a short city visit (depending on arrival time).
Overnight Stay: Jodhpur
Day 2
Mehrangarh Fort (1459):
Built by Rao Jodha, this fort towers 400 feet above the city. Known for its massive ramparts, it contains palaces with intricately carved panels and latticed windows. Don't miss the Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, and the Chamunda Mata Temple.
Jaswant Thada (1899):
A white marble cenotaph built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in memory of his father. It serves as the cremation ground for the royal family and features beautifully carved gazebos and a serene lake.
Umaid Bhawan Palace (1929):
One of the world’s largest private residences. A part of it is now a heritage hotel and museum. Built during a famine to provide employment, it blends Indo-deco and art deco styles.
Afternoon: Depart for Ranakpur (~3.5 hrs drive).
Overnight Stay: Ranakpur
Day 3
Morning Visit – Ranakpur Jain Temples (15th century):
Built by Dharna Shah, these temples are dedicated to Tirthankara Adinatha. Famous for:
1,444 intricately carved white marble pillars — no two alike.
Chaumukha design with four faces of Adinatha.
Exquisite geometric patterns and symbolism reflecting Jain cosmology.
Late Morning Departure: Drive to Udaipur (~3 hrs).
Arrival in Udaipur: Begin local sightseeing depending on arrival time.
Enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola and see the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir.
Overnight Stay: Udaipur
Day 4
City Palace Complex (1559):
Built by Maharana Udai Singh II, it is a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. It offers panoramic views of Lake Pichola and contains museums, courtyards, and royal galleries.
Jagdish Temple (1651):
Indo-Aryan style Vishnu temple, richly carved and featuring a black stone idol of Lord Vishnu as Jagannath.
Saheliyon Ki Bari (18th century):
A garden built for royal women, adorned with fountains, lotus pools, and marble pavilions.
Late Morning: Depart for Jaipur (~7-8 hrs drive).
Overnight Stay: Jaipur
Day 5
Amber Fort (1592):
Located on a hill, built by Raja Man Singh. Ride an elephant or jeep to reach the fort. Highlights include:
Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace)
Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas
Ganesh Pol with beautiful frescoes.
Jal Mahal (18th century):
Water palace situated in Man Sagar Lake, used for duck hunting parties by the royal family.
City Palace:
A royal residence built by Sawai Jai Singh II. Houses a museum showcasing royal costumes, weapons, and art.
Jantar Mantar (1734):
An astronomical observatory with 19 fixed instruments used to measure time, celestial bodies, and more. UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hawa Mahal (1799):
"Palace of Winds" – 953 windows allowed royal women to observe street festivals unseen. Built in red and pink sandstone by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

Day 6
Amber Fort Visit (if not completed Day 5)
Abhaneri – Chand Baori (8th–9th century):
One of India’s deepest and largest stepwells with 3,500 perfectly symmetrical steps. Built during the reign of King Chanda of the Nikumbh dynasty.
Fatehpur Sikri (1571):
Akbar’s short-lived Mughal capital, abandoned due to water shortages. Key sites include:
Buland Darwaza: 54-meter-high gateway.
Jama Masjid & Tomb of Salim Chishti
Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, and Jodha Bai's Palace
Evening: Arrive in Agra.
Overnight Stay: Agra
Day 7
Taj Mahal (1632):
Visit at sunrise for the best light. Commissioned by Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble mausoleum is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Agra Fort (1565):
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of the Mughal emperors. Highlights include:
Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas
Musamman Burj (where Shah Jahan was imprisoned)
Late Morning to Afternoon: Drive to New Delhi (~3.5–4 hrs).
